The Theatre Scrapbook
Spanner's mission to understand the world and fix what may well be broken is taken a step further with The Theatre Scrapbook. The Spanner lads are taking a selection of scenes and presenting them to various schools, colleges and community groups. The scenes are presented to each group as a Performance Menu with each menu being prepared specifically for the audience who are about receive the tasty Theatre morsels on offer.
After the set menu is complete the group can choose what else they would like to see from the performance menu depending on which dishes were to their taste. Spanner offer an accompanying, interactive workshop which uses the groups responses to various questions asked on the performance menu as starting points for the participants to devise their own shows and express their own views about the world. The second phase of The Theatre Scrapbook is that Spanner will create a show which responds directly to the feedback from the audiences they have performed for so that the groups can then see how their own ideas have influenced the theatre that Spanner have produced. |
