Working with other people is an essential part of the Spanner process. Our Theatre Tools would be redundant without people to play with them. Spanner is all about real people, without real people, there would be nothing to say.
It is alarming how many people think they have nothing to say. Inside everyone is a good story, numerous anecdotes which Spanner believe should be the starting point for creating theatre.
Our education packages are designed to turn personal perspectives into theatre. Through a range of theatre techniques and forms our workshops look at the real world in a way which allows consideration of the problems that plague modern society.... because its broken.
Our workshops were created in close collaboration with schools throughout the West Midlands region. Our Workshops are endorsed by Redditch Borough Council and Worcestershire County Council. Our Education practices have been used as models of excellent practice by Edexcel and AQA exam boards. |
